Last Chance Excerpt

Hello again!

I know it is Halloween, so I decided that I should give you a little excerpt of Last Chance for you guys to read. It was written by my friend Riley and I, and we still have a lot of editing to do. I love writing it with her, she is amazing!

If you don’t like it that much, I’m sorry. But if you find it really interesting and you want more, please let me know so I will be motivated to share more with all of you!

Still, musty air.  Consuming hazy darkness.  Tiny pieces of ash fluttering to the ground, like a bunch of angry two year olds in the clouds have been ripping up pieces of paper.
Scanning my environment, I can just hardly see the lake where I had just broke the surface through layers of embers.  I don’t know why I was in that lake.  All of this information is in my head with no memories of where I had gotten it.  My eyes sting, and water is dripping  from my hair and from the dress that barely clings to my body.  The material is shredded and a bit puffy.
The pond behind me is polluted with firedust, still for whatever amount of time it had been still  until my eyes had fluttered open and my lungs screamed, communicating through searing pains, for air.  I knew then to find oxygen, immediately.
What, exactly, is this place?  Where am I?  A geyser blows just inches from my face and I scream, falling back into the water.  This water is cold and still, littered with ash.  That water is hot and active, foaming as it sprays.  I don’t like either.
I fumble around in the water, my hands passing over something hard.  I don’t care right now, all I want is up.  I float to the top in the murky water.  Now I just have to get through the thick layer of embers, again.  There is nothing to push off of, making it hard to break through.  My fist weakly strikes the top.  I  hit again, and again, until I see flecks on the edge of my  stinging vision and my head starts to pulse with my blood.
I give up. The layer of ash is too hard to penetrate. I allow myself to float away until unconsciousness pulls at my eyes, drawing them closed. I drift into an endless sleep.

There’s our prologue part one for you! I hope you enjoyed it.

And, again, Happy Halloween!

If you find anything that needs to be corrected or fixed, don’t hesitate to comment to me about it and Riley and I will fix it.

Thanks again! Bye!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween, all of my readers! I hope you have some exciting activities going on today!

Yesterday was the best pre-Halloween I’ve ever had. I had a dance at my school, and went with all of my friends. There was a lot of music and so much stuff going on, we didn’t have time for all of it! We all went in the photobooth, and while we didn’t fit that well, we made faces and had a lot of laughs.

Afterwards, I went over to my friend Kaimbry’s house with everyone, and we all played games, had spider oreos, gummy worms, buddy bars, and so much more. It was the best Halloween party I’ve ever gone to. I definitely had an amazing time.

Kaimbry, if you’re reading this, you’re the most decorative for Halloween I’ve seen anyone before!

So, for my costume, it was amazing. Except for the fact that it took me, like, a whole class period to get only half of it on. At that point, my frustration level growing, I decided to only wear the parts of it I could figure out.

Do you guys know how to go to the bathroom in that costume, with all of the straps?

You don’t.

I loved cosplaying, but next time I will definitely need to do something more simple. After that experience, I am definitely reluctant to put it on again today.

I wouldn’t have wanted to cosplay anyone else, though.

Back to Halloween. Are any of you going trick-or-treating? I definitely am. I don’t care what anybody else says, I am going to rock Sasha Braus again today and if people tell me that I’m too old to be trick or treating, well, haters gonna hate.

What are any of you being for Halloween? Any more cosplays? Any Attack on Titan-ers? please tell me, I must know!

Again, I must thank you for reading this blog entry, as always. I love to write, and you guys make me a better writer. If you want me to improve on anything, just take the poll at the very bottom of my blog. If you scroll down on this website, it should say, Does this blog need any improvements? and answer the question as one or more of the checkmarks to the left. If you want me to make any specific improvements, either email me or comment to me.

Thanks again! Have a really good Halloween night and get lots of candy, whether you are going trick-or-treating or not!

The Outsiders and Last Chance

Hmmm . . . what to talk about today . . .

Can you believe I’m only five blog posts in and I can’t think of anything to write about? I want to write, I just can’t formulate anything that I really want to talk about. And then, when I’m at school, I’ll come up with the best topics that always seem to float away by the time I get home.

Let’s see. Halloween costume? Check. Manga? Check. Tokyo Ghoul:RE? Check. Is there anything else I can do?

I am pretty much just circling back to what I’ve talked about before.

But what else am I supposed to do? Come up with something CREATIVE? Ugh. No way.

Just kidding. But I am not a creative person, and that’s why I give you chances to give me ideas! Without your guys’s ideas, I have nothing to write about. That’s just how it is.

If you want something new about me personally, though, I’ll tell you I am reading The Outsiders by S. E. Hilton for school. It’s actually a bit better than I thought it would be. I assumed it would be the stereotypical school book, with just some boring facts of someone that all comes together to teach a lesson.

I’ll give you some credit, S. E. Hilton. You have intrigued and impressed me with your abilities to pull me in.

Also, your names in this book tend to be very interesting.

I honestly have not gotten that far. I’m on Chapter 3 of 12, and there is a total of 180 pages. I know it doesn’t seem too long, but it happens to be enough pages to get the point across.

I’m actually writing a story called Last Chance right now. We’re (Riley, my co-writer, and I) at about 150 pages, and we’ve jam-packed so much action into this thing that I can’t believe we’re not at, like, 300. I guess it takes more than action to write a book, though . . .

If you want to check that out, just go to Wattpad and search up ReadingWritingDragon, the account we use to write Last Chance on. It is written by me and a friend named Riley, and Karishma is our editor at the moment. We’ve kind of taken a break, with school and everything, but we will definitely be on it soon enough.

Thanks, guys! I know that this was probably one of my longer posts so far, so thanks for reading it, if you did. I know that I can be really boring sometimes. But just wait; I will come up with a topic so amazing to write next time, I will blow your minds.

I should probably go read The Outsiders for school anyways.

Goodbye, I will try to write as soon as I can find a topic!
Lindsey :P

Tokyo Ghoul:RE

Hello again!

So, I am really excited for the Tokyo Ghoul:RE series to come out. It's supposed to be summer of 2016, but there isn't an actual date planned for it. I know that the anime wasn't really following the manga that well, but isn't that how everything is? The book isn't ever the same as the movie?
Did you know that Attack on Titan has a release date? April 16th, baby! I'm so excited, I can't wait! But I heard from my friend Karishma that Levi is supposed to die. Please, no! Levi, don't leave me!

Okay, back to Tokyo Ghoul. So, pretty much it's about Kaneki losing his memory and everything, so he joins the CCG society, as if to destroy them from the inside-out. That's what I have heard it is about, I haven't read the manga because I can't find one anywhere! But I will definitely read it at some point! Just as soon as Karishma finishes the first Tokyo Ghoul manga . . .

Also, I think Kaneki's name is changed to, like, Haise or something? As you can see, I definitely don't really know what I am talking about, *laughs* oh well. I think that Kaneki pretends to want to get rid of Ghouls, but is actually letting them free behind the CCG's back, but they obviously don't know that. I thought that was a pretty creative idea, since Hide had -- maybe I shouldn't say -- you know.

Thanks for reading my obviously (not) accurate ideas about the Tokyo Ghoul:RE topic becoming an anime! I know I don't really know my stuff, but in my defense I can't find a Tokyo Ghoul:RE manga anywhere. So I will try to keep you updated on everything.

Thank you guys so much! I know I said I wouldn’t post a Tokyo Ghoul entry today, but I figured that I wouldn’t spoil too much since I didn’t know much about Tokyo Ghoul:RE anyways.

Goodbye!

Random Blog Update

I’m sorry I haven’t written for a couple days. How many has it been? Four?

I’m sorry, school has taken up all of my free time and you all know I love writing on my blog. You all love me, right? Of course you do! And when I don’t write to you I can imagine it’s like milk without cookies. Life has no purpose.

No, just kidding. You have your lives and I have mine. You just occasionally decide to see what I’m up to because I’m an interestingly wild person who has, like, no self control.

Today will pretty much be a catch-up blog day . . . I don’t have anything specific I really want to talk to you about. Other than Tokyo Ghoul, but I know if I start talking about Tokyo Ghoul I won’t stop and by the time you are bored with this post I will only have gone through one thousandth of what I really want to say. And, for all of you out there that haven’t watched Tokyo Ghoul, I would spoil, like, every little detail. And then you wouldn’t watch it and then I would be sad.

But please watch it. I love it so much. Kaneki, Touka, I ship it. Nishiki, Kimi, I ship it. Tsukiyama, cloth, I ship it. And, like, Juuzou is my favorite anime character of all time. He’s amazing. And, I’ll put a picture of him for you guys to admire for all of eternity.

Isn’t he great?

Don’t worry. If you are confused, he is a guy.

I can’t stop. I’ll save you guys now and I will stop obsessing over Juuzou. And Tokyo Ghoul. For now, at least.

Back to what I was really going to talk about!

So, again, I am really excited to cosplay Sasha Braus! She and I seem to be really similar. But, let’s face it; I am definitely more crazy than she is. At least she seems to have some sort of grasp on her sanity.

But I now have the costume and it’s so cool! I can’t wait for this Saturday . . . and on Friday, when I am going to one of my friend’s Halloween parties! I will get into character and show off Sasha’s amazingness. It’ll be great.

Almost all of my friends are cosplaying too. Korra, Luffy, and Miku will also be cosplayed. If I can figure out how to download pictures, I will put them up on my blog! Most likely not, though, I suck with technology.

Anyone have anything else you want me to write about? Anything new going on? Anything you want to talk to me about, personal or not? If so, either email me or comment! Thanks for reading this post, I know I didn’t really talk about anything today.

Oh, and my friend is having me to read Legend by Marie Lu. If anyone likes that book, let me know and we can talk about it!

Bye! I will blog again soon, until next time!

Six Days to Halloween!

It is usually abnormal for me to post twice in one day, but I couldn’t help it.

Just now, like twenty minutes ago, I ordered my Halloween costume.

Can you guess who I’m going to be? No? Then how about I tell you. Drum roll, please . . .

I’m going to be Sasha Braus from Attack on Titan! Okay, yes, the costume was pretty expensive, but very much worth it! It’s coming in a few days, and I am really excited to try it on!

If something doesn’t fit, though, I will have a major heart attack.

I know Halloween is still a little while away. But that doesn’t make me any less excited.

My favorite scene is where she is in training and she is swinging from the tree, happy that she beat the other two trainees. She just looks so peppy! Anyways, thanks for reading this today, too, even though I already posted something today. I couldn’t hold it in!

My First Manga

Okay, so today I read my first official manga and it was amazing! Let’s just say I am reluctant to go back to English books. The manga I read was Wolf’s Rain, and it ended up being really action-packed and full of different twists. I’m borrowing it from my friend Kaimbry, along with the second Wolf’s Rain and the 63rd manga book of One Piece (which I’m almost sure I won’t be able to understand).

It just took me a while to figure out how to read it. My friends constantly tried to tell me that you were supposed to read it backwards, but that could mean various things. When Kaimbry physically showed me how to read it, I read it and finished it in a couple of hours. I am the kind of person that loves the drawing style, but I read too quickly to actually look closely at it.

It was great, overall. The mangas I really want to read are Attack on Titan manga, Tokyo Ghoul manga, and any mangas with the topics of action, adventure or both! If anyone has a recommendation for me, please let me know in the comments!

Sorry this was a short post today, unless this happened to be the perfect sized blog post for you. If you like shorter or longer posts tell me so I can change for you guys! Anyways, today happened to be a really long day, so if anyone else had that problem I hope I cheered you up a little bit! Again, if you want me to review or talk about a specific anime, book, manga or anything else, I’d be happy to do that! Thanks for reading, until next time!

First Blog Entry

Okay. First blog entry, entering a new world of everything.

I have nothing to talk about. But I want to put something out there to amaze the wondrous three people that will actually read this.

First of all, I am not a serious person. Sure, I will take something seriously if someone really wants me to, but on an average daily basis, I probably laugh around two hundred different times. Just ask around, my laugh is the most annoying thing my classmates probably hear. No joke. Second of all, I am the world’s most procrastinating procrastinator in the world of procrastination. I do all of my homework late at night, and yet I still have A’s in almost all of my classes. It’s a miracle, that’s what it is. I sit and do nothing in class, and when I get the homework, I just don’t know what to do with myself. And maybe that’s why I had made a blog, so I can write all of my procrastination away for everyone to read it. It’s a possibility.

I am also a gigantic book nerd. So I apologize if I totally freak out about the book I’m reading currently, it’s just what I do sometimes. If this overwhelms you, you can just scroll past through all of the bolded, capitalized font that might be headed towards you in the near future.

Anime is also something I really like to spend my time on. If anyone else has seen the anime Tokyo Ghoul, I applaud you. It is my favorite anime, even though I’ve only recently started watching anime in the first place. Currently, I am watching Attack on Titan, so if anyone else likes that, I applaud you as well. Any recommendations are definitely well-appreciated!

Thanks for reading my first blog post, everyone. I know it was probably boring and you would rather watch something on Youtube, but I love everyone who decides to spend time on me. If you would want to stay updated on what I am doing, I will try to post another entry soon. If you just read this out of boredom, that’s okay too. Let me know if anyone wants me to, like, talk (well, type) about anything specific, like anime, the books I read, etc.

Oh, and before I forget, my name is Lindsay. Nice to meet you! *Waves through the screen enthusiastically* I will write soon! Bye!
